About Bergström Wines
Bergström Wines is one of the most exciting estates in modern Willamette Valley — a family-owned producer in the Chehalem Mountains AVA whose Pinot Noir and Chardonnay regularly score among the highest in the region. Josh Bergström trained at Domaine Drouhin and Beaune in Burgundy before returning to Oregon in 1999 to make wine on his family's biodynamic estate.
The Bergström style is overtly Burgundian — whole-cluster fermentation, gentle extraction, native yeast, and Burgundian oak — but the wines have an unmistakable Oregon identity: cool-climate purity, bright acidity, and a savoury, earthy character that ages beautifully. The Sigrid Chardonnay (named for Josh's mother) is among the best Chardonnays in the New World and is consistently compared to white Burgundy at twice the price.
What to Expect
The hilltop tasting room offers panoramic views of the Chehalem Valley. The standard tasting walks through 5-6 wines including reserve bottlings. The premium tasting adds single-vineyard Pinots and a guided comparison flight. Service is knowledgeable and unpretentious.

Visitor Tips
Reservations recommended. The Sigrid Chardonnay is the must-try and rarely available outside the winery. The single-vineyard Pinot flight is the best way to understand the diversity of the AVA. Buy library wines from the cellar — Bergström ages exceptionally well at 8-12 years.
