Spend a Day In Halifax Like the locals do!

Day to day, life in Halifax is pretty wonderful, and we want to share it with you. We’ve divided the city into five (and counting) different tour routes; each based on how we would spend a free afternoon or evening in the neighbourhood. You’ll visit our favourite local restaurants and shops, tasting as we go. We’ll point out the history, the architecture and tell you our favourite stories, both historical and recent, that make up the city. Depending on which route you choose, we’ll visit farm markets, hidden Gems, meet local business owners, pop into art galleries (for pop up tastings!) sip in house roasted coffee and peruse book shelves for treasures, tell stories, and show you how the whole community connects.  Halifax is the culinary capital of Atlantic Canada and to that end we have so much to show you! There’s Fine Dining, Deli Food, Pub Fare, Street Food, Bakeries, Sushi, Local Artisanal,  Confectioners, and traditional touches from around the globe. Too much to list, you’ve got to come and experience it for yourself!

If you are a Local, this is a great way to spend an afternoon. One thing all locals seem to have in common is how much we love Halifax, join us; it’s a great (and economical) way to discover  your new favourite restaurant and a wonderful way to get inspired by the community. Tasting tours make great dates, and are a great way to surprise a friend or entertain visitors. It’s your city, relax and enjoy while we do all the planning!

It’s Been Six Years!

It’s hard to believe that six years ago we started Local Tasting tours with little more than an idea and a desire to share Halifax with everyone. We can’t thank you enough for all the support you’ve shown by coming out and getting a taste of the city. Our guests truly make us great! We are almost continually adding to our routes to try to give you the most exciting and rewarding experience. Stay Tuned there’s almost always something new in the works!
