SoMo – South of Morris Street – is a vibrant and growing area in the heart of downtown, boasting some of the city’s finest restaurants as well as the famous Halifax Seaport Farmers’ Market where award winning local chefs find the freshest ingredients for their menus.

  • START TIME: 1:30 pm
  • DURATION: approximately 2 hours
  • MEET: Halifax Seaport Farmers Market, 1209 Marginal Road Halifax
  • WEATHER: tour takes place rain or shine, umbrellas provided
  • DRESS: wear weather appropriate clothing and comfortable shoes
  • CAPACITY: 16 people per tour
  • TASTINGS: approximately six different food tastings; mostly stand-up tastings; enough for a light lunch
  • INCLUDED: all food samplings, Local Tasting Tours food guide and info sheet; taxes not included
  • GRATUITIES: not included in ticket price – if you enjoyed your culinary experience, gratuities are accepted by our guides
  • NOTE: food tastings are chef’s choice and subject to change with out notice
  • SUBSTITUTIONS: unfortunately we are unable to accommodate all  food requests on tours – offerings are chef’s choice and meant to highlight various fresh offerings of the day
  • ALLERGIES: please alert us to allergies in advance so we can acquire an ingredients list of tastings for your tour
  • FOOD SENSITIVITIES: please let us know 48 hours in advance if you require a vegetarian tasting
  • COST: $40 per person + tax, tickets can not be refunded
